Tendercare Child Centers

Since 1986, the Califano and Battistoni families have provided the New York's Capital Region with dependable child care services. Our centers focus on providing care you can trust in a safe and healthy environment.

Children are encouraged to develop interpersonal relationships with classmates and adults. Our staff works to build self-esteem to help each child develop a positive self-image and a greater ability to interact with the world with confidence.

Our Teachers assist the children with their relationships and help them to understand their behavior and feelings. All children are treated with respect and empathy by our staff, which nurtures them, thus developing a positive self-image.

At each facility we offer nutritionist-certified hot lunches and snacks, age-separated fenced-in playgrounds, and summertime, vacation, and snow-day accommodations for school-age children.

Our curriculum is divided into infants, toddlers, threes, fours, fives, and school-age children. Programming objectives focus on large and fine motor activities, formal and informal lessons and work activities, and free play for children to chose and pursue their favorite activities.

During the year, Tendercare conducts field trips for the children that are intended to be education, fun and rewarding. Some activities include the Museum of Innovation and Science, Indian Ladder Farms, and the New York State Museum.
